Landowners are being encouraged to help manage the impact of feral wildlife in a workshop at Miriam Vale later this month.
The event, run by Burnett Mary Regional Group with the Gladstone Regional Council, will teach local landholders how to safely control and reduce pests.
Burnett Mary Regional Group’s biodiversity project officer Saranne Giudice says landowners will learn how to deal with feral pigs, dogs and other vermin.
Saranna Giudice: “There’ll be some professional trappers there, which will be great. They’ll share their tricks and tips and everyone will be able to have some hands-on experience outside actually, you know, setting traps themselves. There will also be a few different styles of traps for people to have a look at.”
