Long-Nosed Potoroo Sighting: Angle 1:
Long-nosed potoroo’s have been caught on camera at a number of locations on the Sunshine Coast, proving success of the Environment Levy Program.

The levy, run by the Sunshine Coast Council, aims to protect the Coast’s native wildlife and environment.

Sunshine Coast Council’s Jenny McKay says it allowed a thousand hectors of land to be purchased.

Jenny McKay: “It’s enabled us to provide corridors. It’s also enabled us to ensure that the habitat – they require a very special habitat – that some of our land purchases and also our people, our volunteers, that protect the land under the ‘Land for Wildlife Program’, we’ve been enabled to attract them back.”
