Surf Safe: Angle 1:
Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) has reminded Bundaberg beachgoers to take caution these holidays and be beach safe.
Many Queenslanders are expected to head to their local beaches during the Christmas holidays … raising the risk of incidents.
But SLSQ’s Regional Operations Manger, Craig Holden, says it’s easy to stay safe.
Craig Holden: “If they head to a beach that is patrolled by a Life Saver or Life Guard, if they swim between the flags, if they swim while there’s a Life Saver or Life Guard on duty, nothing’s going to happen. It’s going to be a great day and they’re going to have assistance nearby if something goes wrong and they know they’re swimming in a location that is the safest place on that beach to swim.”
